Volunteer Rights & Responsibilities

  Volunteering is a two-way activity.

It should be of benefit to you and the community or organisation.

Unlike paid staff, volunteer staff are not covered by award conditions, or work place agreements.  Volunteers do have some rights enshrined in legislation, and organisations also have moral obligations to their volunteers.

As a volunteer you also have obligations to the organisation.
