Justice Support Network

What is the Justice Support Network?

 

THIS SERVICE IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD - PLEASE PHONE FOR INFO

 

 

This is a program that provides information & support for people with an intellectual disability, mental illness or an acquired brain injury who come into contact with the police and the criminal justice system.

 

A trained support person will provide assistance at: Police Stations, court, court & court related processes, legal appointments

 

Support & legal advice at police stations is provided:

 24 hours, 7 days

JSN Support Persons:

Are trained volunteers Assist people to understand and exercise their rights
Are independent from Court & Police Help people to get legal advice and understand it
Raise any individual needs of the person help the person to understand outcomes, conditions & consequences
