Welcome to the Wauchope Neighbourhood Centre. The Centre is located in Waugh Street Wauchope opposite the Primary School. We offer a wide range of community services and programs from the centre including:

Wauchope Neighbourhood Centre Services and Programs
Referral, Information & Advocacy- we have information available on a wide range of community services. We can provide you with information, advocacy and referral to appropriate services to assist you.
Volunteer Management Program - offers referral to a range of voluntary organisations as well as advice on volunteering, training and information.
Tax Help - Free service that helps low income earners to complete their tax returns. Appointments are essential and eligibility criteria does apply. Runs July to October each year.
Transport Assistance Project - this project is funded by the Ministry of Transport to provide assistance with transport for young people in the outlying areas to events and activities in Port Macquarie area.
Legal Advice Service - Free 30 minute appointment with solicitor for advice on any legal matter. Appointments are held at the Neighbourhood Centre every 2nd Wednesday and last Thursday of the month. appointments are essential
Womens Group - this group meets at the Neighbourhood Centre last Tuesday of the month during school terms and participates in a variety of workshops and information talks as well as social get togethers. For more information please contact us.
Emergency Relief Program - Offers emergency assistance to disadvantaged members of the community in the form of food vouchers, petrol, bus tickets, chemist and other assistance as required. Service operates Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10.00 - 1.30
Eligibility criteria does apply and appointments are required.
Outreach Service - We provide rooms and support so other services are able to see clients in Wauchope. We currently have Christo Youth Services, Women's Refuge and Housing appointments available through the Centre. Please ring for more information.
Community Newsletter- the Neighbourhood Centre has a community newsletter which comes out bi-monthly. The newsletter is distributed around the Wauchope and surrounding communities. To contribute to the newsletter please contact us. Download Latest copy: Wauchope Community Newsletter
Youth, children & family programs - the Neighbourhood Centre runs a variety of programs for families and children including school holiday activities, events and programs. View the Events Page or contact the centre for more info
