MISSION STATEMENT |
|
The Port Macquarie Centre
provides a variety of community services that assist families,
adolescents and older people to achieve their own well-being and enhance
the quality of life of disadvantaged groups in the community.
|

The Neighbourhood Centre
provides information, assistance, advice and referral on a wide range
of topics.
|
|
We also have a large array of brochures and booklets.
Our helpful
staff and volunteers are only too happy to assist with any enquiry you may
have. |
| The NC is here to assist all members of the
community, not only those in need. We offer information & brochures on specific
topics, and referral if necessary. |
| Information is available if you
are interested in volunteering, joining a club, or finding out about
other local activities. |
| We can help you access THAT service, or find WHO to
ring to find out more. |
| Ask us anything and we’ll
endeavour to point you in the right direction. Call in and have a chat,
we’d love to see you. |

The following services are available by

EAPA Vouchers - Assistance provided to
those experiencing difficulty paying their electricity account. Phone the
Info Shop 6584 1914 or Wauchope Neighbourhood House 6586 4055 for an appointment. |
Legal Aid - Civil Law,
Bankruptcy Matters, Child Support, Family Law - Freecall info lines &
appointment contacts available. Phone the NC on 6584 1914 |

Hastings Macleay Housing
Support Service - Free
service available to anyone experiencing homelessness or at risk of
becoming homeless. Appointments made at the Neighbourhood Centre
on 6583 8044. |
Tax Help – Provides a free 40 minute
consultation with trained taxation volunteers who are able to assist with
the completion of your tax return and/or answer many of those taxation
questions. Appointments made at the PMNC on 6584 1914 or Wauchope
Neighbourhood Centre on 6586 4055. Mid July to end October. |

Legal Advice – Provides a free 20
minute consultation with local solicitors, offering advice and
guidance on any legal matter. Appointments made at the Wauchope NC on 6586
4055.

Volunteer Management Program – Provides a free 30 minute consultation
offering referral to, and information on a wide range of non-profit
community organisations utilising volunteers. Organisations
seeking volunteers are also welcome. Phone PM on 6584 1914 or Wauchope on
